Why software gets found by a formula rather than by its name
A retailer is not searching for a domain; they are trying to compute a number. They have stock and a margin, and they want to know what the two say together — that is, GMROI. Asking that question, they know no product's name, and whoever answers becomes the party they trust at that moment.
That is not the product page's job. The product page tells someone who already knows what they want what you sell; the calculation page gives someone who does not yet know the name of their problem. Generative engines quote the second far more often, because that is the shape the question arrives in.
This has a cost, and it has to be accepted up front: formula pages do not sell the product, they build trust. The sale comes at the next step, and only if the first one was taken.
